the singer's first solo album
A nice story...
Present on stage since the early 90s in very eclectic formations,
Morgan MARLET finally sees his dream come true with his first album
" LégendeS "
It was his meeting in 2012 with Alan SIMON that accelerated things. The Nantais gave him nine songs from his major creations ("Excalibur", "Chouans" and "Tristan & Yseult"). There is also an unreleased track "The Tears", a piece entirely rewritten by the singer "L'Ordalie" and a composition written by Ronan LE QUINTREC: "Compagnon de bordée".
Morgan MARLET has given all these titles another color and especially his personal touch. These titles were translated and adapted into Breton by the singer Enora de PARSCAU for six of them, and rewritten in French in collaboration with Alan SIMON for the others.
The singer's voice shows great mastery and a wide range, combining power and finesse, and bringing a new and very personal color. More than reappropriating his songs, he offers them a new life and a new dimension.
Made with a hard core of four musicians, " LégendeS " is based on the music of Alan SIMON, which was remastered for the occasion and increased on certain titles. The adaptation and rewriting of the songs offers this beautiful homogeneity to the album. Quite Rock, the Celtic atmosphere is of course omnipresent and the mastery of the song in Breton is remarkable.
Between strolls and epic songs, Morgan MARLET ventures into Rock, Progressive and even Bluesy atmospheres. The virtuosity of the musicians literally carry a vocal technique paradoxically not very demonstrative but irreproachable and assertive.
